I can't believe that it has been a whole year since I first started my blog!
I created my blog as a means of being able to discuss books with my followers, as well as have them share their opinions with me. I have always been passionate about reading, and could literally talk about books all day.
I also wanted to help readers discover books and/or authors that they may have never heard of before, as well featuring those that are more well known.
It's been wonderful that I've been able to feature a vast range of books for both young and older readers.
The support that I have received from authors, publishers, and my followers has been so lovely, and I really do appreciate all of those who take the time to comment, like, read or follow my posts and reviews.
As a way to show my appreciation to you all, I have put together a giveaway where you have the opportunity to win one of three books. And not just any books. I've been fortunate enough to read all three of them recently, and I think that they are three of the greatest books I've read so far this year.
The books are:
Angel's Share by Kayte Nunn
Talk Of The Town by Rachael Johns
and a signed copy of Her Mother's Secret by Natasha Lester
You can read my full review for Her Mother's Secret here.
I will also be sharing reviews for Talk Of The Town and Angel's Share in the near future, so be sure to keep an eye out for those!
Now, for the giveaway!
If you'd like to enter for your chance to win one of the three titles mentioned above, you need to:
Be a follower of my blog (either by liking my Facebook page/twitter/Instagram, or following via email or bloglovin' - I don't mind which one you opt for but you must do at least one please), and
Answer in the comments section below:
Where is your favourite place to read, and why?
Three separate winners will be selected - the most creative/original answers will win, so get entering, and please include your email with your answer so I can contact you if you're one of the lucky winners!**
A big thank you to the authors for agreeing to be involved with this giveaway.
You can find out more about each of them, including where to buy their books, here:

I can see the competition has closed but I just couldn't resist responding. Let's face it - sometimes the only place you can read uninterrupted is the loo! Ideally I'd love it to be on the beach with the waves rolling in as background music.

DeleteHi Mrs B, the comp is running until 3rd June. I accidentally typed in the wrong closing date. I have now fixed it. Your entry is valid, but please leave an email so I can contact you if you're the winner
DeleteGreat news! Email is lobroo7@gmail.com
DeleteLaying in the sun on my recently acquired day bed is definitely my favourite place to read as it is the most comfy spot to relax and escape from the world getting lost in an amazing book!
ReplyDeleteOops I forgot my email too! beccz89@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteWhen its winter sport season I love chatting to the mums at the kids hockey training and then when the footy training starts, the sun starts to dip and the chill sets in; then I retreat to my car and the warmth with a good book. Doesn't make me a bad mum does it?!? budgelhjms@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI'll read it here, I'll read it there, I'll read it everywhere. When I find a book that draws me in and I can't put down, my favourite place is in bed. When the house is quiet, the children are sleeping and I'm all alone. Lost in the world of reading. With my sreaming hot chocolate and reading light. archamb53@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteSnugged up on my couch with a hot cup of coffeee.Love to read here as its very comfy and cosy.
ReplyDeleteI have my own little library and it is filled with books and looks really girly so my husband never comes in there and annoys me so I can read and enjoy my books with peace and quiet

ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!
ReplyDeleteI actually like to hide away in the laundry to read. It's warmer in winter and cooler in summer. The best part is that I have serious doubts my family even know the laundry exists. The laundry door acts as a magic portal, hopefully to, uninterrupted reading.

I enjoy reading my book while soaking in a nice hot bath. I also read while laying in bed tucked up under my doona on a cold night.

Happy blogoversary!
ReplyDeleteHappy blogoversary, congrats on the 1st year. I read in the bath, thus I haven't moved to the kindle. Though I spend a lot of time in my car at the moment so I also have an audio book on the go when I drive. (no need to enter me in the comp - I have a backlog to read)
ReplyDeleteMy favourite place to read is in bed or a comfy chair. I don't understand how people can read in the bath! Not my thing. Happy blogaversary!
ReplyDeleteOut on my front verandah. I live in a little cottage on a hill with a lovely verandah out the front. I can sit out there with a good book and a coffee (or a wine!) and sink into the world inside my book, look up with a sip of coffee and over the trees to the estuary at the bottom of the hill. Relaxing and beautiful. (keljar65@gmail.com)
ReplyDeleteHappy First Blogoversary Michelle! Congratulations on your venture and I wish all the entrants well!! Thank you for linking up for #lifethisweek 21/52 and next week's prompt is Hobbies.
ReplyDeleteI read while I walk: on my treadmill and walking around my town to collect the mail, the milk, whatever. I get a lot of books read that way (I've seen the scenery, I just have to watch out for streets and cracks in the footpath)
ReplyDeletePlease leave an email so I can get in touch Marianne
DeleteCongratulations on your First Blogiversary!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite place to read is anywhere my kids are not! Reading is my 'me-time' and I don't want those moments of peace ruined by 'Mummy, Mum, Muuuuuum'.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 1 year, well done Michelle and thanks for linking up to #MummyMondays.
Her Mother's Secret looks like a great book. (Just in case I win, my email is: allmumsaid@gmail.com)
I love gardening and have created an area in my garden which is my favourite chair in the shade of a frangipani tree and surrounded by flourishing plants and enjoy hearing bees buzzing and birds chirping in the background
ReplyDeletePlease get in touch with an email address as I can't accept your entry otherwise.

I have a woman's cave with all thing precious to me in there and to blokes or children allowed in there it is great little hideout to relax and ready. Bookwormjo72@mail.com
ReplyDeleteMy favourite place to read is anywhere I can, if it's a great book it doesn't matter as I am taken away to my happy place by an engrossing storyline, as my husband will tell you! Ljanewrites@gmail.com
