Children's Picture Book Review:  My Storee by Paul Russell and Aska.

Children's book author Paul Russell is also a primary school teacher, and he has dyslexia.
My Storee is inspired by his own experiences when he was a student, and of the one teacher who believed in him.
In the book, a young boy has a mind filled with creative ideas for stories, but when he writes them down, his work comes back covered in red pen after teachers correct all of his spelling mistakes.
But one day, a new teacher, Mr Watson arrives and encourages the students to express themselves through their writing, and not to worry about the spelling mistakes.
My Storee demonstrates the importance of good teachers, and also inspires dyslexics and reluctant writers to have a go.

Available this August through EK Books, RRP $24.99 AU
Recommended age group: 4-8 years old.
